Drug & Alcohol Treatment Services

Evidence-Based Care Designed for Lasting Recovery

Our treatment services combine clinical expertise with compassionate support to address the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of addiction. From individual and group therapy to psychiatry, case management, holistic healing, and specialized programs, we offer a wide range of services that strengthen each phase of recovery. Every service is tailored to help clients heal deeply, build resilience, and create a sustainable path forward.

At Ventura Recovery Center, Individual Therapy is a cornerstone of our drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. Healing from addiction requires more than stopping substance use—it involves understanding the emotional, psychological, and behavioral patterns that led to it. Through personalized one-on-one counseling with a licensed therapist, clients gain the tools, insight, and support needed to rebuild their lives with clarity and purpose. Individual Therapy offers a safe, confidential space to explore past experiences, address underlying issues, and develop healthier coping strategies. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual, supporting their journey through recovery and beyond.

DBT combines acceptance and change—two essential elements of recovery. Our therapists work with clients to explore the underlying emotions and beliefs that drive addiction while also encouraging real, meaningful behavioral change. In a safe and structured environment, clients practice new coping skills and learn how to apply them in everyday situations.

At Ventura Recovery Center, our Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Program provides trauma-focused therapy to help clients heal from past experiences that may contribute to substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment proven to reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic memories, allowing clients to reframe these experiences and build a healthier future. Led by licensed EMDR clinicians, our program integrates trauma-informed care with comprehensive addiction treatment. We work closely with clients to address the root causes of substance abuse, foster emotional regulation, and promote long-term recovery.

Recovering from addiction is not a journey meant to be taken alone. Group Therapy at Ventura Recovery Center provides a safe, supportive environment where clients can connect with others who understand their experiences. Guided by licensed counselors, group sessions encourage honesty, vulnerability, personal growth, and mutual support—key components of long-term sobriety. Through shared stories and shared strength, clients learn that they are not alone, and that healing is possible with the power of community.

Addiction affects more than the individual—it impacts the entire family system. At Ventura Recovery Center, Family Therapy provides a safe, supportive environment for loved ones to come together, communicate openly, and begin the process of healing. Guided by licensed therapists, Family Therapy helps everyone affected by addiction understand the recovery process, rebuild trust, and develop healthier patterns of communication and support. We believe that recovery is strongest when families learn, grow, and heal together.

Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation. Many individuals entering treatment are also facing real-life challenges—legal concerns, employment issues, financial stress, family responsibilities, or uncertainty about what comes next. At Ventura Recovery Center, our Case Management services provide clients with individualized support to overcome these obstacles so they can focus fully on healing and rebuilding their lives. Our Case Managers walk alongside clients from the moment they enter treatment through completion, ensuring they receive the guidance, resources, and advocacy needed for a smooth and successful recovery journey.

Addiction rarely exists on its own. Many individuals struggling with substance use also experience underlying mental health conditions that impact their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. At Ventura Recovery Center, our Addiction Psychiatry services provide specialized, integrated care for clients with co-occurring mental health disorders, helping them achieve stability, clarity, and long-term recovery. Our on-staff psychiatrist works closely with each client to diagnose, treat, and manage mental health concerns that may contribute to or result from addiction—ensuring a whole-person approach to healing.

Addiction takes a significant toll on the body. Substance use can deplete essential nutrients, weaken the immune system, disrupt digestion, and negatively affect mood, energy, and overall well-being. At Ventura Recovery Center, Nutrition Therapy is an integral part of the healing process, helping clients restore physical health, improve mental clarity, and rebuild a positive relationship with food as they move toward lasting recovery.

Recovery does not end when treatment is completed—it is a lifelong journey. At Ventura Recovery Center, our Relapse Prevention Program equips clients with the tools, strategies, and mindset needed to maintain lasting sobriety. Through education, skill-building, and ongoing support, clients learn how to identify triggers, manage cravings, and stay grounded in their recovery, no matter what life brings.
