With medically supervised alcohol detoxification treatment, medications are given to reduce the shock that the body experiences as it works to moderate the artificial levels of dopamine it has come to expect. These medications are provided to avoid seizures, body aches, shakiness, insomnia, hot flashes, cold flashes and vomiting that occur when someone detoxes on their own. It is important that a client be monitored during the process by a qualified professional to make any adjustments needed to ensure a client gets properly detoxed and the body does not have any negative reactions to the absence of alcohol.

Medically Supervised Drug Detox is the first important step towards a successful recovery. Without medical supervision, withdrawals can be uncomfortable and sometimes even dangerous. During the detox process, the body no longer has the drugs or alcohol it depends on. The system reacts and can go into shock or convulse. This process should be monitored by a medical professional. We offer safe and comfortable detox process by providing medically supervised care, anxiety relief and rest in a safe and comfortable environment. Medications and one-on-one counseling guide our clients along the road to freedom from drug and alcohol addiction.

Vicodin contains a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone. Hydrocodone is an opioid pain medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of hydrocodone. If a person uses opioids for a long time, they develop physical dependence and tolerance. Usually, opioid abusers will then take more of the drug, to continue to get high. If a person stops using opioids after they become physically dependent on the drug, they will experience drug withdrawal symptoms.

Inpatient drug rehabilitation offers several advantages compared to other treatment approaches. A key benefit is that it allows individuals to remove themselves from the stressors and temptations present in their usual living environment. This is often a major step on the road to recovery. Our inpatient treatment is provided in a residential house situated in a tranquil and peaceful neighborhood, offering a setting that feels more like a home than a hospital. The house features private and semi-private bedrooms, ensuring comfort and privacy. The environment is designed to promote relaxation and support the journey to recovery, with a spacious kitchen, a large backyard, and ample room to unwind and reflect.

Ventura Recovery Center’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides a highly structured level of care for individuals recovering from drug or alcohol addiction. PHP serves as a bridge between residential treatment and traditional outpatient care—offering intensive therapeutic support while allowing clients to begin reclaiming their daily routines and independence. Our PHP is ideal for those who need comprehensive clinical services during the day but are stable enough to return home or to a sober living environment in the evenings.

Intensive Outpatient Program or IOP is the phase of recovery therapy that immediately follows successful drug or alcohol detox or residential treatment. While in IOP, clients live at home and start rebuilding ties with their family and community while learning new life skills and coping strategies. This is a crucial step in building the foundation for long-term recovery from addiction.

We offer 30, 60 and 90 day treatment plans. While there is no hard and fast rule for length of drug addiction treatment, it has been proven that long term drug rehab is more successful than shorter term options. The right treatment length can be critical. During that time, the client is able to medically recover. They receive the rest and care they need. Also, they also have the time to deal with underlying emotional issues in a protected environment, without the distractions of everyday life. With long term drug rehab, one learns to live without substance dependence. They build social connections, participate in activities that bolster their self-confidence, and learn the skills they need to cope in the world. The cycle of drug addiction can indeed be broken, if adequate time is taken for treatment.

Addiction is rarely the only issue facing our clients and is often just a symptom related to underlying mental conditions such as depression and/or bipolar disorder. A person with co-occurring disorders has two separate illnesses, and each illness needs its own individualized treatment plan. We treat both the addictive disorder and underlying mental health disorder to guide the client fully through the recovery process.
