Program Overview
At Ventura Recovery Center, our Meditation for Addiction Recovery Program helps clients cultivate inner peace, self-awareness, and emotional regulation throughout their healing journey. Grounded in trauma-informed care and supported by evidence-based mindfulness practices, this program empowers individuals to reconnect with their bodies, calm the nervous system, and develop a lasting sense of safety and presence.
Through a variety of meditation techniques—including breath awareness, body scanning, guided visualization, grounding practices, and mantra-based meditation—participants learn to manage cravings, reduce anxiety, and quiet intrusive thoughts. Each session begins with a brief check-in, followed by guided instruction, practice, and a group reflection to integrate the experience.
Whether you are new to meditation or have prior experience, our program provides a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where meditation becomes a lifelong tool for relapse prevention, self-compassion, emotional healing, and spiritual growth.
